New and Improved!

Mama Kilsmith here, with updates and improvements. Going strong making music happen in Central Massachusetts.

Lately, I have gotten increasingly frustrated with social media. A sea of people trying to sell me something by making me feel insecure about my flaws.. The Algorithm is pushing everyone towards being a walking talking billboard for corporations. I am over it.

I don’t want to be a “content creator”, I just want to promote my shows… I want to CREATE MUSIC with my very limited free time.

MAYBE I would start a podcast… But I am not cut out for being in front of the Camera Talking to NOBODY… it feels so awkward and I hate it.

I have always preferred written word to spoken word. I have a lot going on in my life all the time, so for now I am sticking to what works for me and doesn’t fill me with DREAD and DOOM.

The Algorithm is no longer working for me unfortunately so I am leaning into improving my website and my other communication channels.

Which brings me to my point — if you’ve made it this far WELCOME to my New and Improved Mailing list!

I used to pay for MailChimp but I barely used it. This new setup (Squarespace) is a million times better. I can write a blog and it will automatically send it to my email list. So moving forward, I will write a blog post for upcoming events, and put out a list of up scheduled shows on a monthly basis.

I promise not to bore you with too many details of my day to life. You will receive emails strictly about events. If you WANT the details of my day to day activities. Follow me on Social Media I will put the links at the bottom of this. You can also check back here on my website for the Blogs I write but don’t send to everyone in my contacts list.
