Serena May Kilsmith is an accomplished songwriter, with over 20 unreleased original songs in her working catalog.
The songs are raw and emotional, storytelling and truth telling are at the root of all the music that Serena writes.
Mama Kilsmith has one song available for Purchase or to stream on all major platforms. “Get out” was released in 2023.

Mama Kilsmith, has been the passion project since its founding in 2022. The band started out strong in its first 2 years, playing dozens of shows, and releasing the single “Get Out”.
That momentum unfortunately stalled when Front Woman Serena Kilsmith became pregnant with her third child.
Now, that the “new” baby is a year old. Serena May and her Band are back in action!
“Mama Kilsmith” has an all new cast of characters, and confirmed shows on the calendar… We are READY TO ROCK!
The Music We Make
We play a mix of Original Music and High-Energy Cover Songs that bridge the genres of Pop and Rock and connect with fans of all ages.
Our working repertoire is designed to inspire nostalgia and fun, with “Girl Powered Pop and Rock from the 90’s through the New Millennium” .
We are paying Tribute to the Matriarchs of Music from that era, and the songwriters that inspired Serena May to become a songwriter herself.

The Bandmates
Lead Guitarist and Sound Engineer for the Band Sean Ryder, is a man with many accolades.
He’s a Songwriter, Scientist, Activist and of course a talented musician.
A long time Friend of Serena’s, Sean joined Mama Kilsmith in 2025, when he agreed to help revive the project.
He recruited former “Backyard Swagger” band-mate and Bass Player Jerry McKee to join the group. Before they turned their attention towards recruiting a drummer.
Sean Ryder
A trade-school teacher by day, Jerry McKee brings the rhythmic low tones to this “90’s Pop/Rock” ensemble.
Jerry and Sean spent several years performing together in the locally popular Country Group “Backyard Swagger” before it disbanded.
He wasn’t sure if a musical opportunity would present itself again when Sean asked if he’d like to sign onto the project.
Having attended a 2023 Mama Kilsmith show with the original band lineup, he knew what the Band was about and was happy to join the party!
Jerry McKee
The newest addition to the band, Drummer Francis Fazio brings the energy and the KICK!
Francis a master of percussion, adds the excitement, dynamic and flair to the band’s overall sound.
